๐Ÿช” Where to Begin – Part 2: The Outer Steps of a Hindu Journey

You cannot expect to graduate while you're still in kindergarten.
This path is not rushed. It is revealed.

You’ve begun the inner journey — the vow to walk with truth, to align with dharma, and to sit with your own soul.

Now, we take the first outer steps — simple, sacred, and powerful.

But a word of guidance before we begin:

๐Ÿ•ฏ️ If you're in deep pain or emotional storm, seek support. These are practices for calm, grounded seekers. This isn’t a quick fix. This is soil for growth.
Start where you are — but start with sincerity.

๐ŸŒŽ Ritual 1: Touch the Earth, Speak the Mantra

Before you walk out into the world, pause. Sit at the edge of your bed. Let your feet touch the Earth. And whisper this mantra:

Samudra vasane devi parvata stana mandale
Vishnu patni namastubhyam pada sparsham kshamasva me

Meaning:

Oh Mother Earth, who wears oceans as her garment and mountains as her Bosom, wife of Lord Vishnu — I bow to you. Please forgive the touch of my feet.

This isn't just a prayer. It's a reminder.

๐ŸŒฑ That you are held.
๐ŸŒฑ That this ground supports you.
๐ŸŒฑ That your life is a borrowed blessing.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Ritual 2: Feed the Divine, Feed Yourself, Feed One More

After your morning bath or cleansing:

๐Ÿš Offer food to the divine — even a flower, a fruit, or a cup of water.

๐Ÿฅฃ Eat mindfully, with gratitude.

๐Ÿซถ And feed one being other than yourself.
It could be:

  • A family member.

  • A cow or dog outside.

  • A bird or squirrel on your windowsill.

  • A hungry stranger.

  • A tree that needs watering.

  • A child who needs learning.

Don’t count your blessing. Don’t expect them to return the favor.
That is how you create true blessings.

๐Ÿšซ Begin with What Not to Do

Before you pile good karma, stop the leakage.

There are three things you must not do —
No matter how righteous you feel, or how spiritual you become.

  1. Never mock someone's suffering.
Karma watches silence more than speeches.

  2. Never judge someone’s actions without knowing their journey.
You are not their judge. You are here to become your best self.

  3. Never insult anyone’s physical appearance — ever.
Not even in jokes. Not even in anger. Not even when they’re wrong.
    Their silence is karma’s pen.

⚠️ You may chant a thousand names of God —
But one cruel word,
One arrogant laugh,
One insult…
and you’ve rewritten your script.

๐Ÿ™ Choose a Guru — Or Let the Guru Choose You

When you're ready to go deeper, choose a spiritual guide.

You don’t need to visit them. If your heart is ready, they will reach you.

๐Ÿ•‰ You may begin chanting Gayatri Mantra daily:

Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat

This ancient vibration is the teacher of light.

Or, connect with the energy of saints who still guide quietly through time:

  • Shri Raghavendra Swamy – for dharmic protection and grace

  • Dattatreya Swamy – for unity in all creation

  • Ramana Maharshi – for silence, inquiry, and direct truth

How to pray to a Guru will be covered in another article.

๐ŸŒŒ But What Is This All For?

This isn’t about being good or bad.
It’s about becoming whole.

๐Ÿ•Š People are not good or bad.
They are human.
Situations turn them into what they become.

๐Ÿชถ But you?
You’re not here to react. You’re here to awaken.

And to awaken, you must understand:
There are forces in this world you cannot see.

There are divine beings and demonic ones, too.
There is karma.
There is dharma.
There are debts of the soul.

And there is a path — to clean what is tangled,
To align what is broken,
To rise where you fell.

๐ŸŒฑ Final Note: Where This Path Leads

This is not the end. This is the start of your outer practice.
The real stories — about karma, about astral forces, about good vs evil — will come.

But for now… begin.

✨ Say thank you.

✨ Sit with stillness.

✨ Feed without expecting.

That’s enough.
That’s powerful.

That’s how the divine begins to notice you.

Your next breath is your first prayer.
Let’s begin again.
